Treur River Bourkes Luck, Farm, Moramelo, Uitspanning, 1270, South Africa

This is a gem! The rustic, country feel to this delightful restaurant (and accommodation) makes the uninformed visitors think they are going to get very basic, mediocre food. They’d be wrong! It was delicious, really flavorful and with presentation like a fancy restaurant. Also friendly, attentive service. The chalets for accommodation are also simple but tastefully and individually decorated. They and the restaurant overlook the river which offers a lovely place to swim.

We came here for lunch when we were on the way to visit canyon. Not expected much in beginning until we arrived. Cozy restaurant next to river. Nice view, delicious food with reasonable price. Highly recommend!

A lovely eatery where you can sit right next to the Treur River. We stopped for breakfast before going to Bourkes Luck and the Blyde River Canyon, and we were really impressed. They have some interesting sounding dishes but we opted for ribs, which were super tasty. We definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

The Chubby Pig Eatery, Gift Shop & Accommodation – Fun stop along the Panorama Route We visited The Chubby Pig during our road trip along the Panorama Route (R532) in South Africa. It’s located between some major highlights like the Three Rondavels, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and God’s Window, so it makes for a fun lunch stop if you're exploring the area. The road leading to it is unpaved – as is often the case in rural South Africa – so be prepared, as the quality may very. . Interestingly, there's even a helipad on site! While we were there, someone actually arrived by helicopter, which added to the quirky charm. The place is clearly well thought out – the whole property is styled around the “Chubby Pig” theme, from murals and building decor to branded caps and clothes in the gift shop. The owner has put a lot of effort into the look and feel. The terrace overlooks the Treur River and offers a beautiful view across the open grasslands and rolling hills – a peaceful and scenic place to take a break. We only had lunch and drinks – nothing fancy, but decent enough for a quick bite. The kids loved the colourful milkshakes. We didn’t stay overnight, but the accommodation looked cosy from the outside. All in all, a fun and creative stop for lunch or a drink. Not a must-see, but definitely a nice break on the route.

What a lovely quick stop at The Chubby Pig. Amazing set up of Melo and Husband. Little wedding venue for those with a funny and elegant at . Accomodation and kuier area. Sweet tooth delight with their milkshakes. Crystal clear river running past your table as you sit the deck. And then you step into Melo & Co farm fashion elegance with flair of homemade (male and female ) accessories and clothing. Owner and designer Melo speak passion over her craft and welcome you into their farmjourney. A MUST STOP!
